# Privacy Policy – ClipSnippet

ClipSnippet (“ClipSnippet”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides AI-powered video creation, video clipping, UGC generation, AI video cloning, product advertising, and social publishing tools.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights available to you.

If you use ClipSnippet from India, this Policy is intended to provide the transparency required under applicable Indian data-protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and applicable rules as they come into force.

## 1. Information We Collect

### Account and Authentication Information
When you create or access a ClipSnippet account, we may receive:
- Name or display name
- Email address
- Profile information
- Account identifiers
- Authentication and session information
- Information provided through supported authentication providers

ClipSnippet uses Clerk for authentication and user management. Depending on the authentication method you choose, you may sign in using Google or email-based authentication. We do not receive or store your Google password.

### Payment and Subscription Information
When you purchase a ClipSnippet subscription or other paid service, payment processing is provided through Dodo Payments.
We may receive and store information necessary to associate your payment with your ClipSnippet account, including:
- Dodo customer ID
- Subscription ID
- Payment ID
- Product/plan information
- Subscription status
- Billing cycle
- Payment status
- Invoice and transaction references
- Refund information
- Credit entitlement information

Payment card and other sensitive payment credentials are handled by our payment provider and are not stored directly by ClipSnippet.

### Content You Upload
Depending on the feature you use, you may upload:
- Videos
- Images
- Product photographs
- Character images
- Motion-reference videos
- Other media required to generate content

For AI generation and video-processing features, your uploaded content may be temporarily transmitted to third-party AI or processing providers necessary to perform the requested operation.

### Generated Content
ClipSnippet may store:
- Generated videos
- Generated images
- Generated scripts
- Captions
- Project metadata
- Generation settings
- Processing status
- Output URLs
- Publishing metadata

### Usage and Technical Information
We may collect information such as IP address, browser and device information, operating system, approximate location, features used, generation requests, and credit consumption.

## 2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to create and manage accounts, authenticate sessions, provide AI video generation services, process media, track credits, manage subscriptions, process payments, publish authorized social content, detect fraud, and provide customer support.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use private uploaded content to train general-purpose foundation models without permission.

## 3. AI Processing
ClipSnippet integrates third-party AI and media-processing providers to perform requested operations. Only information reasonably necessary to perform the requested operation is transmitted.

## 4. Social Media Connections
If you connect YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or another supported social platform, ClipSnippet processes the authorization required to publish or schedule content on your behalf. You can disconnect accounts anytime in settings.

## 5. Data Retention & Minimization
Where an uploaded file is only required as temporary input for AI processing, we may delete the original uploaded asset after processing is complete. Generated outputs and project metadata remain accessible in your library.

## 6. Your Data Rights & Deletion
Under applicable law (including India's DPDP Act, GDPR, CCPA), you have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. You may request deletion by contacting privacy@clipsnippet.com.

## 7. Security & Key Processors
We employ TLS 1.3 transit encryption, Supabase Row-Level Security, and webhook verification. Key processors include Clerk (auth), Dodo Payments (payments/billing), and Cloudflare/Supabase (infrastructure).
